The Los Angeles Kings current losing streak has skid to five in a row. The Kings lost 4-2 to the Dallas Stars in Texas on Tuesday.
The team did play better than their last two outings. The problem is that they couldn’t put enough together to notch the win.
The Kings got off to a slow start allowing the Stars to jump up 2-0 during the first period. On both goals, the Kings had skaters in the area of the shooters but they just weren’t able to wrap up the fast-skating Stars.
During the second and third periods, the Kings pressed the action. Unfortunately, dumb, offensive-zone penalties seemed to sink the team.
With the goaltender pulled the Kings scored with seconds left in the game. Ultimately, it was disallowed as the ruling was that the puck went off Jeff Carter’s glove.
The team gets a chance to redeem themselves on Thursday when they travel to Minnesota to take on the Wild.
