It looks like El Segundo is continuing to move forward with changes. Case in point, more closures on Main Street.
This week saw the closure of D’arte Connection. It also has seen the hanging sign go up announcing that Banner Stationers was shutting down after 61 years.
D’arte had opened in 1992. It sold clothing, shoes and accessories. The store comes from a long line of people in the fashion industry.
Banner has been in business since 1957. The sign says everything is 50 percent off.
Main St. has seen a great deal of transition over the past years. Trendier businesses have been slowly moving in. Many see this as necessary but others feel that the quaint El Segundo is losing its charm. Either way, change is bound to happen.
